In conclusion, the Authors offer their best thanks to many kind friends who have helped and encouraged them in their labour. Their gratitude is due in a very special degree to the Rev. Father keogh, of the London Oratory. The office of Censor which he undertook was in itself a tedious one, but besides this, and on points which did not con cern him in his official capacity, he furnished the writers with many valuable suggestions and corrections. At the same time it is right to add that the Nihil obstat appended by him certifies indeed that the limits of Catholic orthodoxy have been observed, but by no means implies the Censor's personal agreement or sympathy with many of the opinions expressed.
