Cedi, My Story: A Narrative of Value, Memory, and Meaning

What if a currency note could speak? What would it say about the hands it's passed through, the lives it's touched, and the truths it's witnessed? In  CEDI, MY STORY, Ghana's humble currency comes to life with a voice full of wit, wisdom, and quiet heartbreak. From roadside vendors and schoolchildren to corrupt officers and grieving grandmothers, Cedi journeys through a nation's soul, bearing witness to sacrifice, injustice, resilience, and joy. Told through a series of intimate vignettes, this imaginative and emotionally rich narrative transforms money from a symbol of power into a vessel of humanity. With lyrical storytelling and cultural pride, the author invites readers to see value not just in currency but in the people who carry it. This is not just the story of a note. It is the story of a nation. Of dignity. Of us.
