Synopsis
Award-winning quilter Gail Lawther's second book of Celtic-inspired patchwork, quilting and appliqu? projects. The knots and spirals of classic Celtic design lend themselves perfectly to the quilter's art, and this book is packed with ideas, projects, patterns and inspiration for anyone who wants to give a Celtic feel to a wide range of quilting, patchwork and appliqu? techniques. There are four themed sections based on the four most popular areas of Celtic design: Knotwork; Spirals; Key, fret and carpet designs; Biomorphic and plant designs. Each section features a superb large, main project accompanied by several smaller designs. And each section rounds off with several pages of extra patterns to inspire the reader still further. Over 25 projects in all, large and small, range from cards, pot pourri sachets, a sewing caddy and accessories, to a table runner, cushions, a lap quilt and a bed quilt.
