The Centenary Way was originally opened in 1989 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the former North Riding County Council.
The original walking guide has been out of print for a number of years. This new guide has been updated and revised by John Sparshatt of the Long Distance Walkers Association and follows a network of footpaths and bridleways, describing the route through text, maps and photographs.
