A set of uniformly bound novels, translated from the french and exploring themes of romance. Novels consist of The Lady of Camellias, The Nabob, Notre-Dame of Paris, Pierre and Jean and Romance of a Poor Young Man. Featuring twenty-two coloured plates with captioned tissue guards, and a frontispiece of the original authors. Collated complete. Each volume contains an illustrated exploration of the original french author, bound into the rear. Mudie binders stamp to the front endpaper of each volume. Bound in blue bindings with cloth boards and gilt design to the spines. Externally, sound with light marks to the boards, which is heavier to Romance of a Poor Young Man. Internally, all are firmly bound. Bright pages, although foxing to endpapers. Scattered spotting to the text block edge not encroaching on text. Very Good. Seller Inventory # SET23-F-2
