About the Author
Prof. Manju Kurian is Principal and Professor of Chemistry at Mar Athanasius College, India. Her research focuses on oxide nanomaterials, carbon dots, nanocatalysis, energy conversion, and environmental engineering, with particular interest in developing advanced materials for catalytic and environmental applications. She has served as an Editorial Board Member of Nanostructures and Nano Objects (Elsevier) and has contributed extensively to the scientific literature through research articles, edited books, patents, and book chapters. Her work spans the design and application of nanomaterials for sustainable technologies and environmental solutions.
Smitha Thankachan is now working as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, India after completing her postgraduation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India and Master of Philosophy from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi, India. She completed her Doctoral degree on ‘Characterization of rare earth doped magnesium ferrite nano particles and its catalytic activity’ from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, India. Her research interests include nanomagnetic materials, photocatalysis and multiferroics.
Dr. Swapna S. Nair is currently chairing the Department of Physics Central University of Kerala. After receiving Ph.D. from CUSAT, India, (2007) she worked in different European Labs as Post-Doctoral Investigator. She had worked as an Assistant Professor in International School of Photonics, CUSAT, India and has more than twenty years of research experience in fabrication of functional nanomaterials/structures for optical, electronic (storage/memory/PV) and biosensing/imaging applications. She has published/edited 2 books, 4 book chapters, 58 peer reviewed research articles and has a patent to her credit. Her major research areas are engineering novel nanomaterials for RAMs, Spintronics, energy harvesters, and sensing/imaging applications.
