This attractive copper engraving is from Buchoz's 'Le Jardin d'Eden, le Paradis Terrestre renouvelle dans le Jardin de la Reine a Trianon' in Pierre Buchoz's supplement to the work Collection des Plantes les plus rares, qui se trouvent dans les deux Hemispheres. Buchoz or Buc'hoz (1731-1807) was born in Metz. At the age of 28, he was appointed physician to the King of Poland, but left his post to pursue his interest in botany. The plants are from the queens garden in the Tuileries. Copper engraving. Original colour. Fine condition. Size: 205 x 330 mm. Mounted: 375 x 495 mm. Seller Inventory # 56517
