Hardcover in Good condition, 8vo, pages: xvi,406. Green cloth with spine titles in gold, black-and-white plates from photographs, appendices (included a folded table), index. Putative first edition. Patterned sunning to boards, light wear to tips and spine ends, a few leaves with a paper-clip scar; remnant of front flap of dust jacket laid in. From the library of Edmund T. Cranch (signed/dated on verso of ffep), 1922-2015, engineer and educator, former professor at Cornell University and president of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Bookseller accession no.: 26210.
