Neema challenges the assumption that one conflict resolution model fits all conflict contexts, and argues that sufficient time be devoted to a thorough assessment of the best conflict resolution mode to bring about a sustainable resolution to a given conflict. The analysis points to the need to understand the unique nature of each complex political emergency as an essential tool if we are to move towards lasting peace agreements. About the Author

Neema Seguya has interacted with peace and conflict issues for the past ten years. She holds a BA in Political Science from Makerere University, Uganda and an MA in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from the same university. She later obtained an MA in Peace and Conflict Transformation from the University of Tromsø in Norway.
