A Change of Heart

At age thirty-four, Amelia Savage, America’s sweetheart Olympic champion, suddenly became ill. Her cardiologist discovers a toxic chemical in her bloodstream necessitating an immediate heart transplant. Amelia’s estranged husband appears to be the only suitable donor. Michael R. Daciek, born in West Virginia, is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and retired Continental Airlines Captain. As a freelance writer he has published numerous aviation short stories and three children's books:Our First Flight, Laughing through the Alphabet, and Kailouie & the Snorkel Monster. His next two endeavors are, Life in West Virginia, a non-fiction account covering years 1910 through 1944 and a pictorial anthology of aviation short stories. He and his wife Joan reside in Colorado and they have five children and nine grandchildren.
