About the Author
VINCENT J. LYNCH is Director of Continuing Education and Lecturer at the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. He founded the Annual International Conference on Social Work and AIDS, which has been held continuously since 1989. He continues to serve as principal organizer for that conference. He also has served as a liaison on HIV/AIDS issues to the International Federation of Social Workers, Geneva, Switzerland, and to the International Association of Schools of Social Work, Vienna, Austria.
GARY A. LLOYD is Professor at the San Jose State College School of Social Work. He has served as a consultant to the World Health Organization's Global Programme on AIDS and was among the very first group of social workers to focus their professional energies in the area of AIDS care. He was the 1990 recipient of the Social Worker of the Year Award, presented by the National Association of Social Workers. He serves as organizer for the Annual International Conference on Social Work and AIDS.
MANUEL F. FIMBRES is Professor at the San Jose State University School of Social Work. He, with Carl G. Leukefeld, co-authored a social work classic in AIDS care, Responding to AIDS: Psychosocial Initiatives (1987). He is among the very first group of social workers to become actively involved in AIDS care, and his current area of special interest is the development of HIV prevention and educational services in communities of color. He has served on the Board of the National AIDS Minority Council, Washington, D.C. He also serves as an organizer for the Annual International Conference on Social Work and AIDS.

I. General Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Basic provisions
(1) The following terms and conditions apply to all contracts that you conclude with us as a provider (AHA-BUCH GmbH) via the Internet platforms AbeBooks and/or ZVAB. Unless otherwise agreed, the inclusion of any of your own terms and conditions used by you will be objected to

§ 5 Choice of law, place of performance, place of jurisdiction
(1) German law shall apply. In the case of consumers, this choice of law shall only apply insofar as this does not withdraw the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the state of the consumer's habitual residence (principle of favourability).
(2) The place of performance for all services arising from the existing business relationships with us as well as the place of jurisdiction is our registered office, insofar as you are not a consumer, but a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. The same applies if you do not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or the EU or if the domicile or habitual residence is not known at the time the action is brought. The right to appeal to the court at another statutory place of jurisdiction remains unaffected by this.
(3) The provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall expressly not apply.
