The parishes of St Ebbe's and St Thomas' have undergone many changes during recent years, and have now been transformed with impressive new office blocks, extensive college buildings, shopping malls and car parking facilities. There is little sign of the heavily populated areas they once were, and virtually no indication of the importance of these two parishes during earlier centuries.
