In 1996 I resigned from my position as a tenured college professor to dedicate my life to spiritual service.  I felt as if I was literally jumping off a cliff.  Would we lose our home?  Our way of life?  

For over 10 years I had been providing spiritual services evenings and weekends while working at my day job.  It was too much for my body.  It gave out.  

I to make a choice - college professor or channeler for Master Spirit Guides?

My dear husband said, "When you come home from your college job, you have to recover.  After a channeling you're flying high.  THAT's the woman I want to be married to."

We jumped.

Channeling had found me in 1985.  I considered myself a conservative, left-brained woman who had her life planned out.   

One evening we went to a friend's home for dinner - to check out her new beau.  I mentioned that I was reading Shirley MacLaine's, "Out on a Limb." 

The guy asked if I had ever been to a channeler.
"No."
"Do you know what channeling is?"
"Shirley mentions it in her book."
"Do you want to see if you can channel?"

Without hesitation I laid on the floor with a dishtowel over my eyes.  He led me into a relaxed state & began asking questions.  I responded with the first thing that came to me.

When finished he said,
"You're a channeler."
"No I'm not.  I made it up."
"Yes, you are."
"I'm a lucky guesser."

My husband, who teaches university statistics, interrupted us with, "Connie, you knew things about this man that you have no way of knowing.  Your cadence of speech and vocabulary changed.  What you just did is impossible, statistically speaking ."

If my husband had not been there I would have walked away from that experience calling the guy a kook.  

Now I'm the kook - retired after traveling internationally to provide spiritual services.
