Chaos: A Study of Distance

Chaos: A Study of Distance is the fifth volume in the Chaos Series by Scott Burton-a lyrical meditation on what we carry when closeness fades and silence grows. Through 100 emotionally reflective pieces, this collection explores the invisible miles between people, the weight of longing, and the quiet truths uncovered only in absence.

Structured in four parts, the book maps emotional distance not only between individuals, but within the self-how grief pulls us apart, how memory tries to hold us together, and how even when something is lost, its presence remains.

This is a book for anyone who has felt far from what they love. For those who live in the space between what was and what will never be. For those learning to hold space for themselves after someone else let go.

With signature honesty and poetic clarity, Burton offers a companion for the moments we don't know how to close-the unfinished endings, the unanswered questions, and the lingering ache of what still follows us home.
