About Chapter House Books (Member of the PBFA)
Chapter House Books was founded in 1988 and has since grown into the largest general second hand bookshop in the Sherborne area. We do not specialise in any particular subject but like to keep a very diverse stock of over 30,000 books, Modern and Antiquarian, both Hardbacks and Paperbacks. We also stock used Sheet Music, CDs and DVDs. We are still cataloging our stock so if there is a particular title you are looking for please email and we will check our shelves.

Sterling (UK) Cheques (made payable to Chapter House Books please), Paypal, bank transfer and
most major credit cards accepted.
All Books are sent once payment has been received. Please email or telephone
before ordering to confirm availability. The book will be reserved, up to 10
days, for payment to be made.
All books are returnable within 7 days following receipt, for a full refund,
if not found to be as described. Please email or telephone first.
Our shop hours are 10.00am to 1.00pm Monday and Wednesday; 10.00 to 3.30 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 10.30am to 3.30pm

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books
weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact
you to let you know extra shipping is required. Alternatively, if the book weighs
less then the postage cost will be reduced accordingly. For overseas parcels, if
the amount quoted covers Airmail postage the book will be shipped by Airmail. Please be aware that surface mail parcels usually take up to 3 months to arrive at non-European destinations. PLEASE NOTE: Buyer is responsible for any additional duties, taxes, or fees required by recipient's country.
