The 5 Characteristics of Logistics: A Proven Method for Managing Changes in Your Life

If our lives are a river through time, then these planning insights serve as waypoints for navigating the future-especially through the lens of military operations, family legacy, and personal growth.

In this compelling veteran memoir, author Larry Floren draws from a lifetime shaped by service, strategy, and storytelling. From the early days of his Norwegian ancestors settling under the wide skies of Montana in 1890, to a heartfelt family reunion in 2006, Floren weaves a multigenerational narrative that blends historical context with lessons learned in both life and the military.

Through vivid vignettes, Floren introduces readers to key figures in American military history-among them MG George Patton (son of the famed WWII general), General John Vessey (Army Chief of Staff under President Reagan), and LTG James Hollingsworth (a decorated leader in Vietnam). These encounters offer not only a glimpse into historic military operations but also valuable reflections on leadership and logistics in high-stakes environments.

While the book doesn't aim to present a formal planning framework, it offers a powerful look at personal development through logistics-from battlefield coordination to family organization, and from strategic foresight to the unpredictability of life.

Whether you're a planner, a history enthusiast, or someone seeking inspiration through service and structure, Floren's reflections will leave you enriched with wisdom and perspective.
