An elegantly curated book with thirteen whole-page b/w illustrations; each with tissue guards. There are notes on these illustrations towards the end of the book. TEG. This revised imperial edition was published in June 1902 by the novelist, George Gissing, some thirty years or so since Dickens' death (and within a year of his own). The crimson cloth of the boards has a little fading in places and likewise the brown cloth of the spine; with its gold gilt decorative titles. Internally the book is in a sound condition albeit with mild to moderate tanning throughout. Occasional minor pencil markings on preliminary pages. pp. 307/8vo .
