Photoplay edition issued to coincide with the release of the film The Chase by Kit Porlock, adapted from the screenplay by Philip Yordan, based on the book by Cornell Woolrich, directed by Arthur Ripley, starring Robert Cummings, Michelle Morgan, Peter Lorre, and Steve Cochran. Paperbound. The story of a chauffeur working for a gangster who tries to help a damsel in distress, only to find himself in a world of trouble. Lightly used copy with some edge wear and creases to the printed wrappers. The front cover shows Cummings caught between Morgan and Cochran, in a state of fear and suspicion.
