Chasing Down Joy

The death of a child is an unparalleled loss, shattering the heart and forever altering the path ahead. It is a weight too heavy to carry alone, yet too invisible for most to truly understand. In Chasing Down Joy, Rae Sanchez opens her heart with honesty and courage. She shares the raw ache of walking through the loss of her son, the loneliness of grief in a culture uncomfortable with mourning, and the fragile steps toward finding joy again when it feels lost forever.

A companion for mothers who have experienced this sorrow firsthand, Chasing Down Joy is a call to reshape how we, as individuals and communities, acknowledge and carry grief together. Tender and unflinching, this memoir is both a story of survival and a plea for compassion. For anyone who has lost a child (or loves someone who has), Chasing Down Joy is a reminder that even in the darkest valleys, the pursuit of joy is still possible.
