Leland Edwards, the youngest son of pioneer missionaries to the nation of Panama, was appointed a Foursquare missionary at the age of seventeen. In addition to pasturing the First Foursquare Church in Panama City for many years, Leland and his wife, Barbara, supervised the Panama Field. During that time the work expanded to over 200 churches. In February 1950, Leland was appointed as assistant director of Foursquare Missions and five years later, the director of Foursquare Missions and member of the denomination’s board of directors until 1988. He also represented the Foursquare Church on many interdenominational committees and was greatly instrumental in the worldwide growth of the gospel. The Edwardses have two married sons, and they are grandparents and great-grandparents. They reside in Lancaster, California.
Ron Williams served the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel as a church planter, pastor, missionary to Hong Kong, Bible college professor, and as editor of the Foursquare World ADVANCE. He currently serves as the historian for the Foursquare Church, and he and his wife, Carole, reside in Bodfish, California.
