Printed yellow wraps 17x21cm. 67, (4)pp including folding leaf and b/w illustrations. Very good. Very rare with 1 unidentified issue found on Worldcat (OCLC 942814157: IISG). Noting that ex-pat UK or US based magazines on Iran are mainly student focused, this independent magazine was launched to provide information about Iran to the wider Western public. Also noting increased repression under the Shah since the overthrow of Mossadegh it offers a forum for political discussion from all political parties (Statement of Purpose / Letter from the Editors). The theme of this launch issue is "Iran in profile". Thus its content includes a history from pre-Islamic times to the Constitution; the Persian Revolutionary Movement and Constitutional Revolution of 1906; Dr Mossadegh and nationalisation of the oil industry; Iran today; news (international, domestic); a translation of Parvin Etesami's poem "An Orphan's Tears"; the theatre of Iran; and a bibliography. Apart from Etesami. the editors and other authors are unnamed. The back cover includes a c/o address at 374 Grays Inn Road in London, which was the HQ for the Movement for Colonial Freedom around this time.…

Shipping terms
SHIPPING: Domestic and international shipping is tracked and insured with UPS. This has unfortunately meant an increase in domestic rates especially, and in most cases I am absorbing some of the increase. (I have moved away from Royal Mail owing to a series of problems).
DELIVERY DEADLINES: If you have a hard deadline for receipt that is before the processing time stated on Abe, eg, if you need it to arrive urgently before you travel or before a particular event, please contact me at the time of order to advise, so options can be discussed and steps taken to ensure it gets there in time.
RETURNS: Please return any items for refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, and contact me first with the reason for the return to establish whether postal costs will be included in the refund. If the item is not as described, I will cover the original and return post.
