Checkpoint

What is the price of a child's life? For Inspector Sergej, the answer is simple: his soul.

He has built his entire career on integrity, hunting down criminals in a world where everything is for sale. But when his daughter Katja's illness presents a bill that no honest cop can pay, and time begins to run out, Sergej receives an offer he must not accept-yet cannot refuse.

The task sounds simple: ensure that one truck crosses the border tonight without any questions asked.

But in the blizzard that has paralyzed the city, nothing is as it seems. While his partner Ivana, guided by unerring instinct, closes in on the mysterious shipment, Sergej is forced to play a double game. He must be the police officer investigating the crime and the criminal committing it.

One checkpoint. One night. One chance.

Will the barrier lift in time, or does a betrayal lurk in the shadows that no one, not even Sergej, could have predicted?
