Chef Antonio and His Magic Spoon is a warm and engaging children's story that celebrates friendship, inclusion, and self confidence. Antonio feels most at home in the kitchen, where cooking allows him to express his creativity and strengths. With the support of his Friend Dontay, Antonio discovers that his unique way of experiencing the world is something to be celebrated. Written for families and educators, Chef Antonio highlights social emotional themes such as empathy, acceptance, and belonging, and encourages meaningful conversations about honoring what makes each child unique. This strengths-based book about a neurodivergent child exemplifies that all children are born with gifts that can be nurtured despite any challenges.

Michael Dillon was born and raised in Canton Ohio, and resides in Western Massachusetts. He has been drawing illustrations and portraits as long as memory serves. With a distinct style, using colored pencils, he designs his own Christmas cards based on a character known as "Puna Plane", created from his 46 years of experience in the commercial airline industry, along with his connection to rock and roll music that he shares with his wife. This is Michael's fourth venture into children's book illustration, and he "draws" his inspiration from his wife and sons as well as his grandchildren that he loves beyond words.
