Here we have a lovely compendium of his 'Chefs-D'Oeuvres' (masterpieces), namely the classically-themed plays Andromaque, Les Plaideurs, Britannicus, Brnice, Bajazet, Mithridate, Iphignie, Phedre, Esther, and Athalie, ideally suited to those wishing to draw their own conclusions! Externally, bound in smart green cloth with marbled paper boards. Gilt lettering to spine. Some wear to corners and minimal wear to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound with tape repair to hinge and nominal inscription to frontpaper (with corresponding blot on opposite pastedown). Moderate spotting throughout. Good.
