Chelsea: 100 Memorable Matches

Chelsea: 100 Memorable Matches

Whether you’ve been supporting Chelsea all your life or only started following in more recent times there is no denying that the club has given you your fair share of memories. Every Chelsea fan has a favourite moment in the club’s history. For most it is likely to be the 2012 Champions League final win, whilst others see FA Cup triumphs in 1970 or 1997 as the greatest feeling they’ve been given as a Blues fan. These moments come in unforgettable games and this book takes a look at 100 of the most memorable matches.

The memorable matches included in this book are in chronological order rather than ranking them by my own opinion. The reason these games have been picked is for individual achievement, a whole team affair, a club milestone or just something quirky that happened. There will undoubtedly be games that you think should be in this book but aren’t, mainly because of the 100 limit. Whether your most memorable match is in this book or not, it was written to bring back memories of games you attended, read about or were even told about by family or friends.

Chelsea is a culture and a community where stories are shared, legends are remembered and the history lives on through its fans. It is hoped that this record of 100 memorable matches will help the next generation feel part of that community and continue to gain their own memories along the way.

That’s what happened to me!
