Chelsea: If Twitter Was Around When.

Chelsea: If Twitter Was Around When… looks back at Chelsea’s history through a social media perspective. Using the new genre of #SocialMockumedia it explores how people may have reacted to real events in real time. With contributions from over 100 Chelsea fans from Twitter this book takes a trip down memory lane, via Stamford Bridge, through online interaction.

Twitter gives football fans an opportunity to become immersed in the world of football. They can promote, debate, argue or even make a mockery of each and every footballing event, no matter how big or small. However, this has not always been the case. People used to rely on newspaper rumours, teletext stories, debate in pubs, or even ring ClubCall to find out the latest news. Even these things are talking points for those old enough to remember and those too young to know what on Earth they are.

This book looks at some of the key moments in Chelsea’s history that occurred before Twitter was launched in 2006.
