Has front folding plate "The Laboratory at the Surrey Institute" and a full page plate opposite page 485 showing various laboratory devices. Book sold AS IS. Pages foxed and darkened, old ink name on title page and other ink markings, edges with ink markings, ink stains on pages 403-412, the rare folding frontis illustration is tattered on edges, with ink spots bleeding through from rear, and 1 inch hole on top edge. Ink marks and scratch outs on front and rear end papers and rear of plate, lacking final two pages. Text block is still sound and binding is holding. Fair to Poor. SOLD AS IS. See all photos.
