First edition. Binding tight, interior clean. Gray boards with gilt lettering along spine and front; spine ends lightly bumped. Dust jacket in nice condition and preserved in mylar; has not been price clipped ($3.00). Shelf scuffing on back and one closed tear along front bottom edge; light chipping to corners and spine ends. The autobiography of William R. Allen, for lieutenant and acting governor of Montana, "A narrative of one of the most exciting and colorful periods in our history, from the days of the civil war aftermath to the present" from title page. Jacket design by Peter M. Scolaro. 205 pages.
