Add to basketThe book and jacket are in very good condition, a fair amount of shelf rubbing, some foxing to jacket it has been wrapped partly in plastic at some point (this appears removable if desired with little fuss). Foxing primarily on the fore-edge, paste-downs and endpapers but apart from this the text and images inside appear clean and clear throughout. 'The Cherry Tree was first published in 1932, being the final volume in Adrian Bell's classic rural trilogy. The first two volumes are Corduroy and Silver Ley. In The Cherry Tree the author describes further farming experiences, his marriage, and becoming habituated to country life. Taken together these three volumes have been described 'as the classic account of a twentieth-century Englishman's conversion to rural life'.' 176 pages. 9 x 6.9 inches.
