From the Author
Chess players really appreciate the 6 blank diagrams for every game. Rather than merely record a list of moves, this lets you see, study, and review critical positions without having to play through all the moves. There is even space to indicate which side is set to play in the diagram. Blank lines on which to write ideas, strategies, or comments in words also come in handy.
How Players Use This Book
Some players use this log book to record their own games, but other chess players have found additional ways to use this book. A few record their favorite games from famed historical matches, a few use it to follow live matches between grandmasters, some use it to study an opening line like the Sicilian or the King's Gambit, and authors record games they study in preparation for books that they are writing.
Other books by Chris McMullen include:
Make a Personalized Book of 500 Chess Positions
Draw up to 500 different chess positions. There is room in the back of the book to write solutions or brief notes about each position. This is a great way to keep a record of intriguing or instructive positions that you come across while playing, or to make your own book of chess combinations, for example.
Math Workbooks
Chris McMullen, who holds a Ph.D. in physics, is the author of the Improve Your Math Fluency series of math workbooks. These workbooks offer ample practice in fundamental math skills, including arithmetic, fractions, algebra, and trigonometry.
Science Books
The author has also written a conceptual chemistry book, basic astronomy books, and undergraduate physics textbooks.
