Bleu cloth flexi boards are rubbed at the corners, spine has heavy wear. Binding is poor but the book remains intact for now - heavy use and it could open. Henry Edward Bird (1829- 1908) was an English chess player, author and accountant. Although Bird was an accountant, not a professional chess player, it has been said that he "lived for chess, and would play anybody anywhere, any time, under any conditions." All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.
