You don't have to be a genius to enjoy the benefits of Chess. Chess is a great brain exercise to play while social distancing or together as a family. It can improve cognitive skills such as concentration, pattern recognition, decision making, problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and critical thinking.

Regular Chess play also increases attention span and memory capacity while encouraging an understanding of choice and consequences in problem solving (can help children realize that they are responsible for their actions and must accept the consequences of those actions). It can also occupy the mind, relieve stress and anxiety, and, according to recent studies, help prevent cognitive decline.
