Add to basket[Not autographed like the main listing image, but it is still a 1st Edition, limited to 15,000 copies.] [Due to the atypically large size & heavy weight of this particular title, additional shipping charges may be requested after purchase, should the initial shipping charged be less than the actual postage costs. Any additional amount requested will only cover the difference between the two amounts & will not put any additional money into my pocket as the seller. The buyer is free to reject this request if it ends up being more than they are comfortable with paying, though the difference should be no more than a few dollars at very most, or less even.] Although the books is actually brand new and has never been used, my understanding that there may have originally been a slip case that is no longer present, keeps me from listing it as such. The jacket & book remain in excellent shape, as good as any book you might find on a store shelf being sold as new, as it has clearly never been used or at most, flipped through briefly once or twice. Some sellers would even likely still list the item in this condition as being "New", especially those that did not know of a potentially missing cardboard slip case that was meant to accompany this version. If I am mistaken & no such case was issued with the book, then the buyer is effectively getting a new copy for a significant discount relative to the other "New" copies currently available for purchase online. Ships, well packaged and very quickly, from MI. The condition selected for the item is accurate and consistent with our other listings of the same general condition. If you have any questions or you would like additional details about the item or pictures, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will get back to you as quickly as possible. Please buy with confidence from us, as we have several thousand satisfied customers and your satisfaction is the goal we strive to achieve with every transaction.
Seller Inventory # Leila6Ref: 158 (Chihuly Projects)
From the resplendent towers in Chihuly in the Light of Jerusalem 2000 to the ceiling sculpture made of over 2,000 hand-blown forms in the lobby of the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, the audacity and inventiveness of Chihuly's vision comes across on every page. A splendid companion volume to Abrams' very successful Chihuly, which offered a general overview, this new book, with its focus on his most imposing creations and its essays by Barbara Rose and Dale M. Lanzone, will delight all art lovers, collectors, curators, and glass artists.
DALE CHIHULY (b. 1941) is recognized as the most important artist working in the medium of glass. He has won numerous awards and in 1986 became one of only four Americans to be honored by a one-man exhibition at the Muse des Arts Dcoratifs in the Louvre, Paris. Chihuly is co-founder of the Pilchuck Glass School outside Seattle, which draws students and teachers from around the globe.
BARBARA ROSE is an eminent art historian and critic.
