By Mrs. Margaret Hosmer, Presbyterian Board of Publication, Philadelphia, 1870, frontispiece with two full-page engravings, cloth, 6 x 4.25 , 18mo. In fair condition. Light wear to extremities with scuffing to corners and ends. Joints scuffed with abrasions to ends of spine. Light fraying to spine ends. Gilt rubbed along spine. Slight soiling over surface of cloth. End papers age stained and soiled. Old hand ownership from Edwards, N.Y. dated Dec. 22nd 1872. Light toning throughout with heavy age stain to title page and frontis. Scattered age staining and foxing throughout. Binding remains intact. Front board slightly slanted. Please see photos. Extremely scarce American Presbyterian Publication committee text about the capture of children by Native Americans.
