A Child of God...Listens!

Would you like to hear Almighty God speak to you? Well, this is what this book is all about. You will hear the tender, instructional, joyful, voice of your creator in your inner spirit as you read and ponder these words. Through the words spoken to me you will hear him affirming, comforting, and embracing you. It's you He wishes to Love. He will show you how to listen to His Voice for yourself. Listen! Feel His Peace! Learn to Trust in that still small voice within you. Absorb His Presence! Then take a piece of paper and write. Write His words to you. Then you will be able to say to me what the Samaritan people said to the woman at the well, "No longer does our faith depend on your story. We have heard for ourselves, and we know that this really is the Savior of the world." (John 4:42) Open and read. Believe and receive.

Wanda A. Eastham always dreamed of being an artist. She lived in an extended household with grandparents who were immigrants from Poland. Her parents worked in mills, had minimal education and provided the best that they could. Encouraged by an uncle who took evening art classes and played musical instruments, Wanda spent time watching and absorbing the creative side of life. When it was time for college, a career in teaching became an affordable option. Wanda graduated with an Ed. B in Education from Rhode Island College. A wise principal and a college professor encouraged her to take graduate courses in the Art field leading her into the next phase of life. Wanda became a professional potter, eventually creating vessels for churches across the globe. The event that changed her life and led to this collection of poems and stories happened in 1973.Wanda, and her husband Tom, received the laying on of hands for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal opened the door to relationship with the Trinity. For 5 years Wanda taught in a Spirit-Filled school where she experienced the functioning of the Kingdom of God. As a Catholic, Wanda had not been versed in scripture. As she grew in the Lord she would hear the Spirit within her speak in verse or prose. She would open scripture and the Lord's words would confirm what she had heard. Some of those thirty plus years of daily journal writings are being shared with readers of this book. Wanda is starting work on her second book, A Child of God......Gathers, where the personal witness and the witness of others will lead you into the heart of the Holy Spirit."Abba" is Almighty, Jesus is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Creative Life. The story continues....
