One in four GP consultations involves a child under five years of age. This book is designed to provide the practicing GP with all the information needed to deal with common pediatric problems in the community. It provides an overview of current pediatric surveillance checks and a scheme for assessment of sick children in the community. It then goes on to provide detailed coverage of all major pediatric clinical topics. The core text is taken from the successful Oxford Handbook of General Practice, and then edited together to cover the full breadth of pediatrics in one easy to access volume.
