"Your Child and Tests" is a parent-friendly book that helps to demystify the complex world of educational and psychological testing. Parents will learn how tests--such as proficiency tests, IQ tests, personality tests, college entrance tests, and others--are used (and sometimes misused) and how they potentially can affect their children's lives, possibly in dramatic ways. What sets this book apart from others is its clear yet frank explanations of test-related issues that many parents find intimidating, confusing and overwheliming. "Your Child and Tests" discusses some of the most important and controversial issues of testing relevant to today's parents and their children, and it will help parents not only understand the different types of tests, but also the appropriate use of the results.
