Add to basketHardcover edition, published by D. Appleton, 1928. The story of Martin Boyne who gets involved with the plight of the seven Wheater children. First published in 1928, this is an early reprint. Dated 1928 on the copyright page, but having a 3 printed on the bottom left of page 347 instead of a 1, as the first printing would have. So this is an early reprint - third print most likely. No dust jacket. 347 pages, 6" X 7-3/4". Black cloth covered boards with the title on the front cover and spine. Boards have rubbing wear, smudges and scuffs, the tips of the corners are slightly bumped in and worn. Spine panel has fraying and wear at all edges. Fraying and chips at the head and heel of the spine panel. Former owner's name written on both the front paste-down and first flyleaf page. Remains of a label on the top left corner of the front paste-dwon, about 2" X 3/4". Rough edges to the text block. Age tanning throughout, not usual considering the type of paper used. Binding is intact, though it does show wear and use. Not a library discard copy. No further writing besides the names. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.

30 day return guarantee, with full refund including original shipping costs for up to 30 days after delivery if an item arrives misdescribed or damaged.
For international shipments, we might sometimes have to adjust our shipping cost after your order arrives, if we determine that the weight of the book will cause the cost to be significantly more than the standard shipping rate for your country.
We package all of our orders carefully either in a box that has been designed to ship books, or in a padded envelope. We want to make sure you receive your order in the best possible condition!
Our preferred shipping method is USPS Media Mail.
Recently, the USPS has added tracking to Media Mail , which has been a great addition to this service.
If you do choose to have your order shipped "Expedited", my shipping cost may seem higher than expected. Some of our books are large format hardcovers that can cost quite a bit when shipped expedited. So I would like to make sure that I can cover the cost upfront. However, if the actual cost of expedited shipping is less than the charge, I will refund the difference!
