Children's Classics in Dramatic Form, Vol. 3 of 5 (Classic Reprint)

A collection of classic tales adapted for young performers. These school-friendly scripts make it easy for children to bring old fables and fairy tales to life with simple directions and room for imagination.

Designed for classroom use, the plays come with clear cues and optional reader-friendly notes. Some lines are read aloud by a teacher while students act out roles, and the text even suggests representing inanimate objects on stage to enrich the scene. Performances can range from informal read‑throughs to light costume and setting touches for “open day” events. The material is best suited to fourth-grade comprehension, with some pieces adaptable for third grade, and the aim is to practice English through engaging, impromptu performance rather than strict memorization.
