Dr. Edward F. Zigler, Ph.D., is a Sterling Professor of Psychology, Emeritus, at Yale University. He was the first Director of the Office of Child Development (now the Administration on Children, Youth, and Families) and Chief of the U.S. Children’s Bureau. He was also a member of the planning committee of Head Start.

Dorothy G. Singer, EdD, is a Senior Research Scientist with the Department of Psychology and Child Study Center at Yale University, and she is Co-director of the Yale University Family Television Research and Consultation Center.

Sandra J. Bishop-Josef, PhD, is Assistant Director of the Yale Center in Child Development and Social Policy. She directs the Center’s fellowship training program and co-teaches a laboratory course in child development and social policy.
