Description:
Chip first appeared in Street & Smith periodicals in 1904, then was published in book form by Dillingham in 1906 which was illustrated by Charlie Russell. This Grosset & Dunlap Photoplay edition came out in 1926 to coincide with the Hoot Gibson movie of the same title issued that year. The book is wonderfully clean, tight, and trim throughout with no previous owner markings. Frontis and 3 text photos are movie stills. Front cover art of cowboy roping a steer is Charlie's work from the earlier book. Rare, and this one is gorgeous. Very collectible. Seller Inventory # 1131
