Chip Hargrove and the Totally True, Slightly Explosive Adventures of Cold Creek

Meet Charlie “Chip” Hargrove—a ten-year-old boy with big ideas, a wild imagination, and a remarkable talent for causing mild chaos.

Living high in the Colorado mountains in the 1950s, Chip’s world is full of towering pine trees, cranky chickens, stubborn goats, and a best friend named Travis who never asks too many questions (even when he probably should). Whether he's launching outhouses into the sky, building flying sleds, battling a homework-eating goat, or cooking up marshmallow-bacon pie, Chip turns ordinary mountain life into one hilarious disaster after another.

Packed with laughs, heart, and just the right amount of goat-related mayhem, this story is a tribute to small towns, big imaginations, and the kind of summer you never forget—even if your boots float down the creek.

Perfect for fans of funny fiction, small-town shenanigans, and kids who can't help but tinker, test, and accidentally set off fire alarms.
