Candice Mitchell is the CEO of Talent Collective, the company behind the triple-accredited Talent Development Academy®, built to develop high-performing People teams in Learning and Development, Performance Enablement, and Change.
 
With a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Strategic Innovation and Change, Candice has spent nearly two decades leading talent, capability, and transformation strategies across industries. She has worked inside organizations that treat People teams as critical infrastructure for business success — and inside those that view them as optional support functions. She knows firsthand the performance gap that forms when People capability is not aligned with where the business is headed.
 
Through Talent Collective, her mission is clear: END THE DISCONNECT between business direction and People team capability. In an age defined by AI, rapid change, and rising performance expectations, People teams must operate as infrastructure — not a nice-to-have. Her book, Choose You: For the People Who Refuse to Disappear, was born from both professional insight and personal transformation. After navigating major life changes — marriage, motherhood, relocation, entrepreneurship, career shifts, and the loss of her father — Candice began examining how capable people slowly lose connection with themselves while holding everything together for everyone else.
 
Originally from South Africa, Candice now lives in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with her husband Darryl, their two children, Tristan and Hayley, and their very opinionated Weimaraner, Shackleton. She is a licensed boat captain, an enthusiastic dancer, and a self-declared shy extrovert who is still working on the shy part.
