About the Author

Donna Gerson was the Director of Career Planning and Placement at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 1994-2001 and now works as a freelance writer and Contributing Editor to Student Lawyer magazine. She is also a lawyer herself, having practiced in both mid-sized and small law firms and continuing to serve as a pro bono attorney for the Neighborhood Legal Services Association, for whom she handles domestic violence cases. A member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association, Donna Gerson creates and presents programs on career issues within and outside the legal profession.
