If you thought chords and arpeggios weren't for beginners, think again! Chords and arpeggios are just patterns, and by learning them early, students can sound great (right away), be confident and even create their own music.
Meridee Winters "Chord Quest Powerful Piano Lessons" is the same great teaching style and material from Meridee's popular Chord Crash Course Series – but for kids. Chord Quest is a gamified, trailblazing musical tool that uses patterns, simple diagrams and fun characters to have you sounding great from your very first lesson. (Without needing to read music!)
Chord Quest takes you on a quest from chapter to chapter, where you learn new skills that allow you to portal ahead, and ultimately, to your final test. There, you'll create your own music, beam it out into the world (and share it with people you know) and defeat the Baron von Boring while you're at it. Once you complete your final test, you'll have the powers you need to portal to Chord Quest Powerful Piano Lessons Level 3.
This book is a great finger exercise book, supplement to other beginner piano books, or can be used as a standalone introduction to piano.
Meridee Winters Chord Quest Powerful Piano Lessons Level 1 Students will learn:
-Numerous arpeggio and chord patterns
-Transposition
-Oom-pah patterns
-Pop and rock comping styles
-Alberti Bass
-Lead Sheet Reading
-Songwriting
