Although reasonably short of scruples, the company likes being alive when paid, and that is problematic because not just gangsters are hatching conspiracies in the vicinity. The Perrys, father and son, prove first-class at matching the late Chris Bunch's blend of fast action, intelligent military detail, and engaging, sometimes larger-than-life characters. If Bunch's action-sf and action-fantasy sagas are to be continued by the Perrys and other, similarly adroit hands, readers are in for a lot more cracking good entertainment. Green, Roland
