Christ Among the Nations (Paperback)

*Advance Praise & Reviews*
“In this book, the living Jesus is made present by the Holy Spirit to the world as savior, empowerer, healer, and hope. These themes situate the mission of God to save the world amid the narratives of scripture, the church, and contemporary missiological endeavors. Thanks to our four Pentecostal authors whose testimonial weaving together of these materials invites our own participation in the redemptive work of God.”―Amos Yong, Dean of the School of Mission & Theology, Fuller Seminary

Drawing on biblical, historical, and contemporary narratives, as well as Christ’s four-fold mission identity (Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King), this book reflects the rich diversity of global Christianity and addresses the complex realities facing global mission today.

Four mission practitioners bring together biblical, academic, and real-world narratives to address the question, “In the midst of the challenges and joys of our modern world, where do we find Christ’s hope, peace, and joy?” From a variety of denominational and socio-cultural backgrounds, these narratives address religious pluralism, globalization, personal and communal suffering, and attitudes of paternalism, triumphalism, and ethno-centricity.

With discussion questions following each narrative, Christ Among the Nations is an invaluable resource for students, missioners, and those in cross-cultural ministry
