Christ: Based Weight Management

Dr. Steven B. DavidSon is the torch-bearing Christ-Based Counselor in the nation. He presents the foremost Christ-Based Counseling approach to weight management. Dr. DavidSon launched his program with 150 participants from Westside Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas. They lost an average of 9 pounds in seven days. The male and female record holders lost 22 pounds, and 15 pounds respectively in seven days. DavidSon calls the first seven days the, "Seven Days of Heaven." Several participants lost more than 40 pounds in four to six months. The group surpassed the one-ton mark in seven months. Dr. Davidson identifies diets as routinely unsuccessful eating plans. He also shatters the myth about exercise and weight-loss. However, weight loss is only the beginning of the story. Participants also reveal that the health advantages are undeniable including enhancements in facial appearance, digestive improvements, and reduction or elimination of other health issues. This book offers the essential Christ-Based Counseling principles. These principles and the walk-through methodology ignite believers' internal empowerment. Believers discover the truth, and the truth liberates their lives from the dietary agents of darkness.

Working in the Christian counseling arena for more than 20 years, Dr. Steven B. DavidSon is founder of the National Association of Certified Christ-based Counselors in its 12th year. He designed the Christ-based Counseling model, but refers to Jesus as the origin, architect, and empowerment of the Christ-based Counseling modality. Thousands have taken advantage of his works in areas such as marriage, homosexuality, depression, anorexia and bulimia, child discipline, and addiction just to name a few. His Christ-based Counseling model is the highly esteemed term and approach compared to Christian counseling where often psycho-socio practices are employed under the guise of sprinkled Scripture texts. His comparison in the 1997 article, "Christian Counselor or Counselor Who Happens to be a Christian" makes the differences clear.
