Christ Or Mars?

""Christ or Mars?"" is a thought-provoking book by Will Irwin that explores the tension between Christianity and militarism in American culture. The book traces the history of this tension from the early days of Christianity to the present day, examining the role of war in American society and the ways in which Christianity has been used to justify military action. Irwin argues that there is a fundamental conflict between the teachings of Christ and the values of militarism, and that Christians must choose between these two opposing forces. Drawing on a wide range of sources, including biblical texts, historical documents, and contemporary political debates, Irwin offers a compelling analysis of the complex relationship between Christianity and war in America. This book is essential reading for anyone interested in the intersection of religion and politics in the United States. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
