This interesting biography of a most unconventional queen is undated, but likely 1930's 365 pp, Green cloth binding and text are all sound and undamaged, with the exception that the spine has detached with loss of the bottom one third However, the interest of this particular copy is the provenance It was in the personal libraries of both the famous actress Gertrude Lawrence and the equally famous actor Douglas Fairbanks Jr and their personal bookplates are on the inside front cover and the ffep respectively Lawrence and Fairbanks were romantically involved for a time, and so it appears that this book was loaned or given to Fairbanks at some point It was acquired in a group of books from Fairbanks' estate, so he was apparently the last owner There are no other markings or inscriptions.
